Sure it needs some tweaks, but the the mechanics are new and interesting and the visuals are nice. I bet everyone would have a different opinion if the HP was scaled and the attack animations were sped up.

I politely disagree. I don't think the mechanics of the first phase make it fun at all. It's just annoying and frustrating.
