The Boarding Action Squad Tournament 11/28 (Merged Threads)

Man..... so many people with the same valid opinion. I wish the devs would listen to this feedback, but sadly I think this thread will simply be closed first.

I am glad it is not the same day as the other tournaments as I am busy on the weekends.

I don't really have that many ally points saved up though so I'm not even sure if I can place high enough to unlock it.

Just noticed the only prizes seem to be vader ship shards, ship building credit and some enhancement droids.

No gear for the toons or normal credits in sight

The amount of salt in this thread could create pillars.

Started saving ally points a while ago for stuff like this. I'd like to second the notion to make it only a day. 3 days is far too long. I'd like to be able to get stuff without no lifing the game as well.

Yeah, not sure why people aren't interested in this tournament. Permanent unavoidable irresistible TL. Your Biggs never looked so happy. Your Geo Spy never looked so happy. Your Boba never looked so happy. Vader's ship is pretty bonkers, honestly. Anyone who doesn't even try a little in the event will regret it imo.

Example:

-Vader basic attacks, generates TL causing Biggs to taunt
-Boba basic attacks, potentially generates TL causing Biggs to recover 35% (18k) protection and taunt again
-JC pulls Biggs in for a manual assist, Biggs gains Protection Up (90% (46k) from double Ackbar+JC)
-Vader basic attacks, Biggs retaunts and recovers 35% (18k) protection (if he's still missing any or if they heavy hand him after prot up)
-Boba missile attacks, hits 2-3 enemies and lays down ability block
-Target locks refresh on their 2nd turn, recovering 35% (18k) protection for Biggs each time
-Vader uses special for fun TM manipulation
-Boba drops seismic charge to ignore armor and protection
-Biggs just chills there and doesnt give a crap about life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness

If you say Boba never lands a TL, and if missing protection can be recovered underneath protection up (I think it can but I know I'll get corrected if I'm wrong haha), you're looking at 133k protection in the first 2 turns, plus his 70k health. "Here guys, eat through 200k+ health on a taunt that keeps coming back in the first couple turns while I munch on your fleet." That's enough to withstand a 4-man Geo Spy assist with full crits (assuming Maul, Spy, Soldier, and a 4th, possibly Bistan for true damage) AND defense down.

Sun Fac takes 223k total damage to kill if he's taunting (+40% defense), but that only applies when the enemy is buffed. Biggs is far more reliable and similar in strength. Get Vader.

@Mageduckey he will be so sweet everyone will be perma locked. I'd like to gear Biggs if the gear wall was being paid for by CG

More ships will be added making him better/worse. But as of ships right now, with Biggs he is a monster. Ackbar can dispel buff immunity which is the only remote counter I can see to him without having to get through all his health.

The only reason idk how worth the AP it actually is, is because we have no idea if/when it'll come around again, or just be farmable of something. Nevertheless I will certainly be acquiring

I liked the old events way more (Forest moon, imperial assault). Don't care much about torunaments, they are to big of a strain on my life.
