I also added some minor GR synergy to his 2nd special:
The first time BD-1, A Little Help? is used, BD-1 scans the target enemy, dispelling Tenacity Up if present, and applying Target Lock and Expose for 1 turn. Cal gains 50% turn meter, plus 10% for each Galactic Republic ally present.
To my mind this alleviates the issues with using the ability, while providing incentive for use with Padme, JMK or QGJ, which is where I think he belongs in-game lore-wise.
Cal spent the whole of Fallen Order trying to find his way back to the relative safety of his past as a Padawan and unearthing the torture of his experiences since - via BD-1 scanning items. To my mind, he is still a Galactic Republic era Jedi when the game takes place - and it's not like we'll be getting a younger version.
