The forums are a failure

Can I just -- and I know we're all talking about the Coliseum, but bear with me -- can I just comment on how little EA cares about their forums?

If you look to the right, you have EA/CG's most important posts. The ones that they want EVERYONE to see. The ones they want EVERYONE to click on, even if they're not currently in the 5 most recent. These are the posts from the Game Info Hub with information you desperately need. 

And what are those posts? What is that info? 

Yes, that's right. They want you to see Morgan Elspeth's 2-year old Kit Reveal post. Aren't all of you desperately eager to know what Morgan Elspeth's kit includes? Where else will you find this information? CLICK HERE NOW!

There are many things to loathe about these forums. USENET made forums work 35+ years ago, but nowadays you have to click "see more" just to read the text and... quite a lot of the time it doesn't even work. 

But the fact that EA has known for 2 years that they have a problem with their pinned posts and hasn't bothered to fix it is just the worst PR imaginable. This is so easy to fix, but they don't do it. And whether or not EA actively keeps up with the opinions written here, whether the employees writing here about most recent updates subjectively, as individuals, care about the game is constantly overwritten with the impression that, no, no one cares because if they did, this two year old problem with a super easy fix that takes next to no time, would already be fixed. 

Accurate or not, what the forum is telling it's readers is, "We don't care about you and we don't want you to find or access the latest information because honestly you don't deserve to know what's going on in the game you play." Every time I see this it absolutely radiates contempt for the people who --  even when they're angry and phrasing things inconsiderately -- all just want the game to be better than it is. 

We care about SWGOH. We love it. Often different things about it, and there's no way you can please all of us at once, but we're here because we love SWGOH and are taking the time to offer opinions that we hope will make it better. 

And some employees might also honestly love the game and want to make it better. 

But unfortunately management has, for more than 2 years now, decided that they would rather scream their contempt at the people that made their game a success than communicate basic respect and provide easy access to the information that actually matters. 

I know we'll all continue to write, continue to care, but I will continue to feel deliberately disrespected so long as EA continues to advertise how little we matter to them.
