And you need 6 more characters that AREN’T required for either CLS or JKL for JML. Then, you also need Wampa, CHS, Vader, and ROLO for JKL. So, it wouldn’t be a stretch for CG to require Executor.

This is only true for new players. Just like a lot of people didn’t have a hard time unlocking jml because they already had a bunch of prerequisites geared, I guess a lot of people that will try to unlock lord Vader will have executor in a couple of months. Check the high prerequisites for jmk and threads about it: a lot of people said it was surprisingly easy to get.
I don’t know if executor will be required, but if she is, I don’t think it will be a problem for seasoned players who already planned to get her to stay relevant in fleet arena.
Now if executor is not the monster she’s supposed to be, then it will be a real gear tax to have her at prerequisite.

@Xcien And you do not think that Lord Vader is going to require C-3PO? They have to double dip on characters eventually, and this is going to be one of the first ones also.

Also R2-D2 has a high probability of being required, which means an Empire team will be needed.

R2? You can beat that event with g7 or g8 characters. And for C-3PO, we’ll see.

Anyway, the point I am trying to make is that LV requiring Executor isn’t far-fetched, especially because this is CG.
Just because that seems like a lot of reliced characters, it wouldn’t be the first time they would require multiple event characters (looking at you JML).

Do you need Uwing crew and phénix crew full relic’d to do so (genuinely asking) ? If yes, that’s probably why we’re not seeing rebels at the top of fleet meta. Especially if they don’t hold on D against g12 geos led by Grievous.

G7/G8 is still a bit of a lift when you have under 200k GP.

Executor requires a ship (Razor Crest) that wasn't around before it crashed into DS 2. Lore means nothing here.

I considered the possibility of requiring Malevolence, the ideas being 1) Negotiator was req'd for Kenobi; and 2) it would kind of represent the Invisible Hand Anakin was on when he battled and was commanded to kill Dooku.

I think no on Executor.
