I do have to wonder though, those Dark Troopers were humans in armor were they not? The third generation Dark Troopers from before were made droids because the human inside the armor was seen as a weakness prior, so I wonder if that mindset has changed since they’re decked out in Beskar, if it’s a mix of that, and it probably being cheaper than manufacturing more droids?
I may have misunderstood this part, as I took it that they were all Moff Gideon clones, hence his boast that "I" am in the armor. All those cloning tanks may have contributed.
