It's 12 battles with no guarantees, but I find that while you're waiting for a GC with a Wookie in it you can always do Galactic War -- the enemies are so underpowered compared to where we are today that Bossk can solo most of those nodes on auto. if he just has to be present (I don't remember the wording) then you can give him a whole BH squad and auto everything. If Bossk has to get the kill himself, just Bossk solo the first 5 battles on auto and sim the last 7.
You should see CWC show up a LOT and other Wookies every once in a while.
Just has to be present, I’m slowly grinding this way right now. I don’t know why as I’d also have to win 50 squad arena battles with him to complete the feat. Back in the day that was possible but nowadays not so much. Hopefully if I drop back far enough it’s doable, it’s an ancient shard so there have to be inactive accounts with beatable teams somewhere in the depths lol
I stuck him in with a Jabba team - he's not Hutt Cartel but at least he's a bounty hunter so there's a little synergy there. I don't recall how far back I fell but my shard is pretty old too and IIRC I was able to sink down to around 1000. It's definitely still doable - This was just a couple of months ago that I got it done.
