They Know More Than You. And Me.

I see a lot of posts here saying how stupid it is that some character are so powerful. Like the post I saw today that Traya is way OP for a random person in the star wars universe. Or Jango Fett isn't important, Boba is.

Here are some facts.

There are 1259 comics.
154 novels.
296 TV show episodes and movies.

You. Do. Not. Know. The. Entire. Star. Wars. Universe.

Liking episode 4/5/6 and hating everything after that does not mean you know everything about star wars. It's is a massive massive universe.

On the other hand I'm sure after spending 4.5 billion! Dollars! On ownership of some films and stuff. That Disney has hired people that their only job is to study everything in the star wars universe and know everything. Read every novel/comic and watch every show and movie.

Take a breath. This game obviously has faults. But until the day that Watto/Jar Jar/Tauntaun/Sebulba/Oola become the ultimate meta team let's all friggin relax a bit and enjoy the game maybe? And if a character pops up that you think is stupidly OP (I had that thought about Wedge until I learned about him) then do some research instead of ranting on the forum like I'm doing now!

PS:
I'd be into someone making kits for Watto/Jar Jar/Tauntaun/Sebulba/Oola

LOL I think you underestimate a lot of Star Wars fans I think you underestimate a majority of Star Wars fans...

The Star Wars who's a fan argument is basically like FOX vs MSNBC right now

90% of the fans just wish the 5% on one side and the 5% on the other would just shut it...
  • I don't think so. Here's how I see it.

i see 3 levels of fans.

    Level 1: Lightsabers are Epic!
These people generally like Star Wars. But they don't know much. They know they like the characters and lightsaber battles and epic fights and stuff flying.

Level 2: The Original 3 are the best!
These people THINK they know a lot about the Star Wars universe because they love the original 3 the best and thing everything else is garbage. They've watched the movies a bunch and maybe seen one of the shows. Maybe own a novel or 2. These people think that Episode 7 is just a remake of one of the movies, and that Leia flying through space in episode 8 is stupid and unrealistic. They are generally the most passionate and outspoken in the fandom and yell at almost anyone who disagrees with them. Yet at the end of the day they don't know that much about Star Wars.

    Level 3: The deep Fans
These fans know a lot. They've read a lot of the books and comics and seen the shows and they know how huge star wars is. They know what episode 7 actually was, and why leia can fly through space. They think that episode 1/2/3 are fine but not amazing. Their favorite star wars character is someone that most of us have never heard of. They knew who Thrawn was back in 1991. Because they know how big the universe is they don't freak out about little things here and there and tend not to fight about everything everyone says.

If you're curious. This scaling system works for basically every single subject known to man kind and can be used to relax the mind and emotions on almost everything.
  • I like the OT and the ST (including the two sidequels). I don't really care about anything else.

I don't care what kind of fan that makes me. Life's too short to worry about such nonsense.
  • I’m a nerd, I have ebooks (I know) of every book in the extended universe, I’ve read about three quarters of them from the pre history and je’dai rangers upto rogue squadron and beyond.

But I don’t judge anyone else
  • See this is what I'm saying! The star wars is so big that after a while it stops mattering about one or 2 things here or there.
