Are you referring to era battles when you say new characters required for events? Because if you are then I’m afraid you are gravely mistaken. The whole point of era battles is to give people more incentive to buy the new stuff, of course f2p players won’t be able to get the best rewards. CG did however, give us access to tier 1, which even if you couldn’t complete with Appo alone, will still give you a FREE 14 million credits, 70 omegas, and 98 character shards. And all that is just on its first run around the block as we know it will return occasionally. And you’re acting like end game f2p players have everything. Like a new gl comes out and they can just snap their fingers and have it and their team r9 all zetas and omicrons, ultimate ability activated, the best lvl 9 dc for them every cycle. and + 150 speed mods on all characters. Even the whales can’t do that.
