Yeah, as a developer, Id understand that most players find that a lot less appealing of a game to play than what Arena is supposed to be. And tbh finding a group to collude with is not fun at all. It feels like a chore.
So as a dev, Id wreck colluding.
I'd be interested in a serious design strategy that would make collusion impossible in the Arena. In the Tournament, it's pretty straightforward, lock down one defense squad for the duration of the Tournament and have targets enter a cooldown, i.e. if I hit Player A's easy peasy squad, I can't hit Player A for X hours. Plus, it's very difficult to locate Player A in the first place due to rapidly changing ranks and tournament sizes. This was how collusion was deterred in Tournaments.
In Top 10 Arena, you can easily locate players you want to hit. You can't force squads to be permanently locked as this would destroy any concept of progression/flexibility. You also can't limit communication between players because, due to no in-game communication, any collusion would take place outside SWGOH anyway. So you really have no way of stopping collusion.
The question is not "whether the devs should stop collusion in Arena or not" but rather "CAN the devs stop collusion in Arena" to which the answer is quite obviously, no.
