Thought Of A Cad Bane Rework

Hello guys, I just signed in to the forums to submit my idea of a Cad bane rework, after months of watching threads silently


I just love this character, which is, IMO, the most badass Bounty Hunter in the Star wars universe, and I think that Cad bane in this game doesn't represent at all the character, there is so much to do with him that I don't understand why he hasn't been reworked yet.


So let's get started.

Cad Bane.


-------- Basic attack - Gun and Gauntlet :wink:

Deal physical damage to a target ennemy with 40% to attack again, the second attack deals 30% less damage and stuns the target.
Jedi can't evade this attack.

(The second attack is made with the Gauntlet)

-------- Special - Flamethrower :wink:

Deal damage to all ennemies, has 70% chance to inflict buff immunity (Or/And Healing immunity) and 2 damage on time.
This attack can't inflict critical strikes.

-------- Unique - Rocket boots. :wink:

Cad Bane gain 20% evasion, whenever he evades an attack Cad Bane gain Speed Up for 2 turns.

ZETA: +5% Evasion. Cad Bane gains 20% Potency, 20% Tenacity and whenever he applies a debuff, gain Offense Up for 2 turns.

Bounty Hunters allies gain 20% evasion and gain 25% turn meter and Critical Up for 2 turns whenever they evade an attack.


I thought of all this while keeping all his actual stats, so his low potency would make his debuffs balanced, the speed up would fix his speed problem, and the dodges would make him more viable despite his low health while keeping his dmg.

  • As one of the fools who mindlessly 7* him and... I guess... was going to hope for the best, I'll take any rework. I mean, Jebus, I use Chewy in the Heist over him......

    TBH, if his TM removal was a little better - he and Chewy could co-op that, maybe that could even bu his schtick, IDK.

    Finally, lets just drop his lead. Clearly if I'm running them I'd put Bobba lead first and, barring that, I'd go with Lando (I know he's not BH, but whatever, it works with Scoundrels).

    Up his basic, give him the AOE like the OP mentioned, and then the Rockets boot are great as his tactical option, maybe give the whole team 15% TM and a buff. Forsight for himself on it would help his survivability too.
  • With the current choice of bounty hunters, what is the ideal squad? And if not a full synergy than who is the most replaceable for the 5th man?

    Current meta-viable BH team is maxed Boba (L), Zam, Greedo, Ig88. 5th slot is optional. I run B2 for dispel on Shore/Baze/GK so everyone else can run wild. I've tried shoretrooper in place of B2 but struggle with targeting who I want with Baze/GK/Shore re-upping taunt (since there is no one to put on buff immunity). I've got the link to my swgoh account in my post above, which shows my mods on them.

    So it's universally agreed upon that bobas execute should be saved for better things than dispelling a taunt?
  • Universally. Especially since other BHs stack enough debuffs to lead to a second round execute kill if you haven't blown it on baze/shore

    Go hard or go home, 5 Bounty hunters or Nuthin
  • Maybe with Cad Bane rework or addition of Bossk or Embo that could be a thing, but right now no. Current Cad bane is terrible. Dengar is just left alone till the end and doesn't provide much benefit other than occasional assist (cuz he's so slow) and potency to health boost from Boba lead

    Feelin ya, he was the first i've brought to 7*

    About the lead i think we need one on him, it would give an alternative to Boba, even if we had to completely change Cad Bane's lead to make it viable.
    And Lorewise he's the one that brings BH to work together for some missions, I think the Character is a great leader and it should be showed in the game
