Think it's time for me to go. I could never buy from the in game store and now the only way I can use the webstore is with gift cards. Today I got charge for a purchase I never got and with reading how many people have the same problem or get crystals instead is it really safe to buy anything? Other people can get over being ripped off but I can't.
The OP's position is extremely understandable to me.
The forums are full of people that have paid money and not received what they ordered. It doesn't seem to be just 1 store either. It appears to happen on CG's webstore, Android and Apple. Neither is it new, it's got to be at least a year old issue now.
And what can you do if it happens to you? You can report it via in the in-game help. You get an under-paid, stressed out, clueless on SWGOH generic EA help employee to have a look and come to a decision on whether you received what you paid for. In lots of cases they see 'received crystals', have no idea what is what and say 'you got what you paid for'.
You can then come here, fill in a forum bug report and hope one of the clued EA staff like Gunnar picks it up and can deal with it. That's no guaranteed either.
To me, this whole situation is absolutely crazy. The fact it's been going on this longer, even more so. If there was one bugged item, it needs to be sorted instantly. If the whole system is bugged, the whole system needs rebuilding as a priority. It only takes one bad transaction to lose a paying customer. 100s...1000s? of bad transactions.................I really don't understand CG anymore.

I laid out point by point how you can get Padme to G13 without buying gear with crystals, but sure. Stick to your position. Let's pretend that it's not completely bogus.
You can do as much work on the Era toons as a ftp can, then forget about them until they are farmable. Problem solved.
You could EASILY farm the requirements for the CLS Journey, and get a CLS team without spending anything. CLS teams are still relevant, so your reasoning doesn't stick. And if you want to spend money, you could have bought a complete, relic'd Geo or NS team for under $20 a couple weeks ago. Great teams for early accounts.
That is just places where you can FARM them. You can still get them for free from Event Rewards. I hope you're in a guild doing TW and TB. Loads of gear and currency from those events. Will it take time? Absolutely. This is not an instant gratification game. Heck, PG toons take like 18 months without acceleration.
So its about gratifications after a slog of patience and farming and battling. Do some people skip a some of that by paying... sure. But absolutely not required.
Actually I'm not in a guild well I'm in a guild of 1. You are right I do need to learn patience. When I got the last 2 inquisitors I needed my first thought was raise them to relic 5 and do the grand inquisitor event.i still need to take 1 more to relic 5 and the only ways to do it is spend $50 or be patient. I decided just to wait. In six days I can buy some of the mats from the episode store and I can get some mats to salvage from conquest.
I hate raising them since I beat them so easily in the arena but I want my first 330 shard character and it's taking so long to get beskar mando.
