I’m a free to play player I have been with this account for over two years, my previous accounts from the start of this game were deleted because of glitches but that’s another discussion that I’ve moved past of my gripe is the clearly predatory game design that’s screaming out more and more demanding money from everyone for a chance to keep up with what’s going on the new episode bull, the whole new assault battles that don’t include people you already have, the the old galactic challenges that used to be fun but now are tedious, the high requirements for new characters that f2p people won’t achieve for two years at least without dedication. All of this on a dying mobile game that’s running out of ideas my question is why? You guys didn’t have to be like this and you don’t have to be so money hungry yet you choose to be. Why

Don’t confuse disagreeing with what you’re saying and not understanding what you’re saying. Expecting a business to design their game to be more considerate of the people who contribute nothing at all to the developers’ bottom line and to provide less of a benefit to those that do is incredibly naive. I know you said in another thread that being 16 meant you are mature and should be afforded the right to send / receive DMs on the forums - and maybe you’ve got a point - but I hope at some point between now and leaving education someone teaches you the fundamentals of how a business should go about looking after their customers. Also, it’s not just whales that CG are thinking about when launching new events that require the most recent characters to obtain the best rewards. There are thousands of players who have every single farmable character at 7*, with hundreds of them having every farmable character at relic level. I’m one of them, and I’ve spent almost zero on the game for a long while now. We all immediately chase the new releases because we’ve got nothing else to chase.

New players get A LOT in this game to help them catch up. Characters being moved to easier farm locations, loads of currency in raids for lower gear units to help gear them fast. Era battles, Free T1 or T2. Regular assault battles you get more relevant gear as you go. Rerunning past marquees so you have less chance of missing units releases. There are even LSB that only lower players can get!I disagree with your assessment massively and think you should see other games in this space if you really think that way.

Nonsense, you're in the early / mid game you shouldn't be chasing the new stuff, and instead should be focusing on your core roster and working towards your first GL and "GL" ship to compete in fleet arena.Of course you can buy new stuff but quite rightly that should be your only route as long term f2p players will have taken 5 years or so building their accounts to get to a point where new toons are the priority.This is a you issue, and quite frankly an entitled viewpoint as you seem to think YOU shouldn't have to either A) work and be patient or B) spend money to make faster progress.

Well there's the thing then. If you've been playing since the beginning, you probably have a ton of resources to go towards these new characters already, even if you're F2P. Newer players don't have that kind of stockpile

You're missing my point. I'm not saying new players shouldn't pay to get to the kind of endgame state that veteran players are at - I'm saying that new players are finding it more and more difficult to progress as the game caters more towards P2W, and the late game players have a hoard of crystals and resources that makes it easier to catch up even if they don't pay a penny.

I’ve noticed that SWGOH is following or copying what marvel strikeforce does in their cash grabs. Battle passes, constant conveyor belt of new characters required for a new raid that is only for a limited time. Cutting rewards in half if you don’t buy the pass for things we used to get just by completing galactic challenges and forcing us to complete daily feats is killing my enjoyment for the game.
