It's pretty clear what will be needed for the Galactic Legends. Not sure what more information you'll need. They require a boatload of characters from Resistance and First Order, and a vast majority of those characters will need to be something like R3 minimum.So if you think you'll be able to unlock those characters just start pumping up every member of First Order and/or Resistance. Get them all to G13 and sit on the relic materials if you want to try and bare minimum the event then when they release details like they just did yesterday, you can finish off those characters.

OP: Of course they realize this. They are doing it this way on purpose. Their own stated reasoning is so we don't feel like we're panic farming. That was my point. I was replying to a post that suggested that “we know all we need to know, just start gearing them all” and I was pointing out that there are a lot of “unknowns” left that could have a big impact on how we prepare for the event. I happen to be a big fan of this release method. I think it will still make them plenty of money but will reduce the negative impact on players (previously we had to “guess” at who would be needed and spend resources on them to prepare in time for the short event window, being annoyed at the wasted resources if we guessed wrong).

Waiting seems dumb to me. I already had kru and jtr relic 3 because I knew it was coming. I had the other primary characters g12 so all I had to do was add the plus sides. So that’s my approach and I think it’s reasonable.

I'm waiting. I'll do what I always do. I'll create a spreadsheet and note all of the gear and relic mats I need and farm them all so that I am ready. Reallocate my daily crystal income and shop priorities as needed.

But, at it's core, this is a resource management game and I never like to "spend too soon". What does a R3 RT get you now? Or R7 JTR? I would rather wait and make sure the effort is worth the reward while being prepared for it.

The down side of applying the upgrades now is that it will imporve your Top 80 GP, altering your GAC bracket for a mediocre set up upgrades at the moment. This, I believe, is the true unintended consequence of GLR and GLK.

No F2P will get even a single GL for months, at the least. The last quest is likely to require new capital ship and 3 other ships. The second last quest is likely to require the new toons from the movie.

There are plenty of people who got into this game, with the release of the Force Awakens, may be wholly suited to take on this event today!

Yeah, no doubt, 2 R7's thus far? And a few G13's like, which I said fans of the movie may have collected heavily.

Even myself, I'm not a huge fan of the new movies but I find myself, okay prepared as it is today!

This event is persistent, so it's at your own pace. There's no factor to make you panic farm...

My limited point was that people will wait till "all" the requirements are known and then choose a GL they want to go after. Which implies pure and simple hoarding "till" they release all the requirements and GL kits.

what's the difference to cg tho? I mean, the only thing is if people went all in on, say, FO, and it turns out Res is needed first, then they might "have" to buy some res gear maybe? And it looks like they will be released at the same time afaict, but who knows? I'm not seeing the issue here

Not entirely accurate. Most competitive players will be arriving for these toons ASAP so that we can stay competitive in arena and other areas. So yes, I’m definitely still hoarding to be ready to get at least one of them right away. And I’m sure most other end game players are doing the same.

You don’t need to focus on all six at the same time either. I am going for my resistance, due to having more at g12 and g13 than i do with my first order. I had already gotten finn to relic 7, for the sith raid. Getting rey to relic 7 and relic 5 my rt(g12 currently) seems fun. Not looking forward to having to potentially relic rose or holdo. holdo kinda has some use with jtr, but what use does rose have, YET...
