The way you worded your first point makes me think you're not serious, but I'll play along. Well, I'm happy with the leader ability persisting upon the leader's death. After all, a leader ability is presumably something that inspires his/her followers, unlike a unique. After death, it might be even more influential. We could even add a martyr's bonus and if you kill the leader before the others, the leader bonus is doubled! :D
