New to the Temple, so I'm familiarizing myself with the threads and discussions.
Being F2P, I'm swimming in training Droids. Credits is where I run into the shortage. Especially with how much it costs to max level a Mk 5 Mod, credits are the biggest shortage I run into as a F2P. I'm happy to see that the Credit Heist is getting a boost, the F2P community will appreciate that change considerably.
The idea of adding ability mats to these tiers will definitely appeal to all players, as I know for a fact that even the whale-iest of players experience ability mat shortages.
As for adding a refresh option, I think using ally points is a neat idea that was introduced with the females only event. Perhaps having a tiered refresh option, the first 1-2 refreshes are Ally Points and the next 1-2 are for crystals?
As for Omegas on the top tier, I don't think that would be excessive. As a F2P, Omegas are a commodity that are almost more valuable to me than crystals. The option to get an extra Omega (perhaps only award the Omega on the first attempt, Mk 2-3 mats on successive attempts) every week would be fantastic, and actually invigorate the veteran player base. Considering there are the small percentage of players who may actually be capable of completing the top tier before hitting player level 80, this would be a nice opportunity to grab an omega prior to being able to get the daily omega from daily activity rewards.
As for characters to use: I support the idea of Jedi. Scoundrels already reward players for investing in them through the Credit Hiest and the Crit Chance Mod Challenge. Jedi are used for Defense Mod Challenge and Yoda, but when I think of Training Droids, I always envision Luke on the Millenium Falcon with Old Ben.
I understand using Scoundrels, but Jedi makes sense as well.
Hopefully this response is constructive.
