To my knowledge the only way to change a characters base stats is with changing the gear which is as bad as it sounds so maybe a unqiue to give him the stat buffs he needs (kinda like sidious or maul) and for his leader maybe have what you have but when they remove the turn meter the droid gets it (or half of it) or something
