I think this is reasonable. It's similar to the counter above Padawan Sabine or GMTarkin (though he can return to zero on his counter). Back when they introduced Wampa they weren't doing those counters for any character. Now that they do, it would be cool.
Of course, that raises the question about other stat-stacking. Vet Chewie, Assaj Ventress, and many others have stacking effects that aren't tracked in visible counters.
Could the game get too messy? Maybe? But I like the idea.
