What do officers do?

What is the point of Officers in the guild? What are they in control of?
  • I have 4 officers.

Raid Commander - decides Raid Tiers, starts Raids
Field Administrator - coordinates Guild members movements through other Free Guilds, collates intelligence gathered
House Captain - boots members who have not logged in, general Guild keeper
Morale Officer - moderates chat (never needed), starts Raids when Commander is MIA, etc.

    - luv, Mol Fulkrom
    Hunters of Snipers

They can also boot and invite/accept others. They can also start raids.

Is that all? They don't add any merit to the game play?

In my guild they do! But it is all out side the actual game.
  • Being and officer means that you are dedicated to the rules and the guild itself. It's a status thing
  • Well I found that out the hard way as I (guildleader) made someone a officer. Then they went and started the robot raid that we could never even beat yet and used up all the guild coin......and then left. I kinda like to be the only one in control now.

You only make members that you trust officers. Not some random dimwit.
  • I have 2 officers in my guild. They are mainly there to launch raids if I for whatever reason go MIA.

If you can't beat the raid then don't worry, each raid bank is independent and it will rapidly fill.

It has a cap so it does not hurt to have a Normal Tank Takedown Raid going as a goal for your guild to reach.
  • Just make sure you only make Officers to people that can chat you on the guild feed. That way you can tell them what they are and are not allowed to do. In my guild no Officer is allowed to remove another member, and may only start the raid we are on.

During transitions I suspend Officer status too make sure that we alternate correctly back and forth from Tier 4 too Tier 5 for example until we are on Tier 5 solid. Then I bring back all Officers.
