Nothing happened in august. The AAT raid was meant to be released then, but was delayed a few months. When people say "august", they basically mean never.

It's a "joke" that means that the devs are full of it because some content was delivered later than they originally promised.
Usually by the same people who complain that the devs never tell us any specific information about what's coming and when it will arrive.

On the one year anniversary of the game the devs made reference to the August joke we've been making at their expense. That and the running gag about Chewie shards. Absolute mad respect to them for doing that.

If I remember correctly, they also didn't handle it very well, they didn't say anything until it was basically too late....
