What's the point of trying?

I get why you’re annoyed, but with 3* Lv65 Era characters, who were you ahead of that is now ahead of you?

The update bug made it impossible for people who had taken units to 4* or beyond to Level their era units to the highest possible level. CG’s fix has basically made it trivial for all players to take their era units to the max available level for the final 5 days of the Era. 

If you’d worked hard and earned better Era currency rewards through a decent daily leaderboard position (which I’m very skeptical of for 3* Lv65 era units), you’ve enjoyed the fruits of that for 79 / 84 days of the Era. 

The people who should rightly be annoyed here are people who used crystals and/or real money to buy era materials that were subsequently handed to them in vast quantities for free. I don’t accept that you are in this category. 

I don’t remember what exactly the exchange rate is, but it’s not terrific. As someone who also has 3* 65 units, I can not only not do anything with the bonus resources, but I probably won’t get much of an exchange for them either. Shards would have been more useful for me, and even could have incentivised spending for some people to hit the new level wall in time. Not me, but throwing it out there.

Stop whining, OP. You got everyone to max level possible for 3 star units. You don't even have the episode pass. You are losing nothing. In fact, you've been handed a freebie which will convert to some amount of gear when the era ends. The people who actually have an argument to make here are, ironically enough, the whales. They have spent serious money getting to level 85, and now anyone who spent some crystals (possible F2P) to get to just 5 stars is getting a massive boost with that hotfix loot, because they can go from 75 to 85 (90 with 6 star units). 

Hell, I only have the episode pass and 4 star units. I was able to go from 70 to 75, which, assuming the conversion to the Legacy system works correctly, means I am skipping right to G13. 

With basic 3 star units, you reached max level. Anyone who also played daily F2P already was in the exact same spot as you. And this whole mess happens with 4 days left in the Era. The absolute most you're "losing" is a few hundred Era Currency if your overall rank degrades because people with the episode pass can now score higher and thus push you down in rankings. Oh, the horror. THE HORROR. 

What a pointless, meritless bunch of whining. 

At 3 stars, 65 is max level. What did you lose? Nothing. What opportunity was taken from you? Were you not able to go to lvl65? If you weren't one of the "geniuses" who just skipped leveling up ISB for silly reasons, you are star-locked to 65 anyway. 

The point has eluded you. The “compensation” isn’t any sort of compensation purely because I wasn’t all that affected. Useless freebie is useless. Sure. It happens. I might have preferred something more helpful.

Agree 100%. I'm not a whale, but this took a lot of crystal saving and a moderate amount of spending (about £30 and the passes) but delighted with this as I'll never finish an era like this ever again. Very happy if it helped others by more significant amounts off low investment, so not sure what OP is complaining about as it will have hugely benefited them.

 
We have one guy in our Discord chat who didn't engage at all as he was on a break and he's got all to level 65, it such a win for everyone. I doubt also the big spenders will care as they are still significant levels above everyone else.

85 is the max level for a 5* unit,ZanirN7S​ 

My head works in weird ways, so what it focuses in on is - "Some people are benefitting, I'm not" and that automatically triggers me. I know that it's for other people. It still just feels like I'm missing out on something? That make any sense to you?

Dude, the whales are pissed off. They spend legit a lot of money to get to 85 or higher to 7 star Cassian, and now a lot of players who got to 5 or 6 stars but not into the 80s on the levels just got all those materials (which you can only get through whaling AFAIK) for free. The advantage the whales had was flattened out with this move, all because CG can't use a beta client to test live updates before pushing them out to the general playerbase. Stuff like this would have been caught very quickly by a small group of beta testers. 

I'm just an episode pass dolphin, so I have no dog in this fight. I went from 70 to 75 for free. Good for me. I shed no tears for whales, but they have a legitimate point here.
