- PaulG911729 years agoNew VanguardI have now set my alarm to go off every half hour so I don't miss EA events......
- People that got nothing due to the event only running for a few hours during their sleep time are mad - despite a notification. Pretty sure if it would happen the other way around, it would cause similar reactions.
- All of us players in GMT+8 got a bad deal... Heist ran from 2:30am-6:30am... Entire guild lost out.
- PaulG911729 years agoNew VanguardThe worst part was notification at 11am yesterday stating it was 'running'... And the it ran for us for 3 hours in the early morning.
Yes I was up, but I get my kids ready for school and get ready for work myself in the morning.... I didn't think to check for an event which runs for 15 hrs usually. - Having the Heist open for 2 days is great, even for us heavy sleepers.
- Unfortunately, unless EA can determine who participated in the credits heist event and who didn't participate, there is no fix for this. If they run it again in the next week, those who already got 2 mil credits will get more credits. The credit heist event should never have been rolled out for such a short length of time, and i think EA would agree with that in retrospect. Sadly, as much as it annoys me, we need to move on and hope EA reviews their procedures so as this never happens again. Going forward, it needs to either run for a fixed amount of time for everyone, or not at all.

Are people really mad that we got an extra credit heist that the devs were nice enough to release because of the accidental notification? lol
We're mad because we were notified but it never occurred"jedii_2040;633819" wrote:

EA this is a very bad project management.
Probably you can share some info to the group for help. Seems your team is not up to the task.
People acting like this because the heist (which appears randomly) wasn't on their time schedule. This is why we can't have nice things.
Who are you, one of the fake accounts for devs. There is a process for everything things. All over here knows that when the notification comes and when the event starts.
What exactly good are you speaking of. Read the forum, you will find hundreds of defects.
You, @jedii_2040, are apparently new here. You know nothing of me. I'm not sure whether to give you a pass or not.- unimatr1x9 years agoNew VanguardI think we appreciate that devs came up with the event. That is a good event to have.
Yes, it is understood that it's supposed to be random and time limited.
However the complain here is because devs made it available in a very short time period (2 hours duration?) in which people with different time zone, specifically those in Asia and Oceania will be asleep (on a normal time).
Furthermore, historically, credit heist events open at 7 am local time and last for at least 12 hrs.
So the occurrence of this event last night created an advantage (2 million credits worth of it) to players who are able to access it within the time it was available.
Yes. Players in Asia got one shove up their posterior and developer stand on it is "Oops, next week you'll have your chance. Oh...everyone else will have another 2 million next week."
We are just asking a fair playing ground. Not like we pay less than those in other time zones.
How about it devs? Comments? "Ugluk;633968" wrote:

There's a very simple fix, and unless their database is set up in a very complicated fashion, it should be fairly easy to determine who is in the affected time zones - it is hard to believe they wouldn't have this information - and only a bit more complicated to work out who participated in the event. It isn't rocket science. It might take some time, but if that's the case then all they'd have to do is tell us they're working on it, and we feel like the issue is being fully acknowledged, understood on a regional basis, and is being taken seriously.
If you don't tell someone their behaviour or performance is poor, they don't learn and then repeat the same mistakes. If you roll over and let this go unprotested, they don't see it as a problem, no review of procedures happens, and more regional stuff ups occur. I get that complaining about this stuff isn't for everyone, but if no-one is stubborn enough to do it, then nothing will get done.
I absolutely agree with you, however, this is the first time it's happened since the credit heist has occurred. I'm sure there's a fix for it.
Not defending what happened, because our Aussie players and others got hosed.
