Why General Veers?

From a lore standpoint, he was a stalwart. Like Patton, he wasn't an armchair commander, he was out there in the thick of the battle alongside his troops, whereas bureaucrats like Tarkin took a hands-off approach and never really accomplished much of anything other than making wry comments.

In context of goh, his kit was tepid and to answer the OP's question, I recall quite a few people calling for a General Veers re-work -- there's been multiple threads. Especially after having cartoon characters and their ostentatious packs rammed down our throats this was a nod to the old school members of the player base who grew up with the OT.
