Needlessly contrarian hot take premise? Check.
Gonna take a pass on that clickbait, no thank you.
Except you didn't pass on the clickbait, you clicked on it."Wildcats1203;841691" wrote:

Nope! Did not do so!"DatBoi;841690" wrote:
A similar question would be "why is the empire evil?". Sure tarkin destroyed Alderaan but that was in retaliation to the terrorist Alliance
You obviously don't know the meaning of the word terrorism.- Nute Gunray should be dark side. But I agree that the other Seperatists could be seen as light side.
I guess its the point of view of the Republic since movies and tv shows do it like that "hnewton;841708" wrote:

Common misconception. A work of fiction is open to interpretation, but you have to accept the basic premise. If the creator says something is something (ie: Empire is evil) then that's no longer in dispute.
Real history has multiple viewpoints. Fictional history is what the canon says it is.- The developers don't define the light side and the dark by if they're Sith or Jedi. They determine light and dark based on the characters stance within the Star Wars canon. For example- Nute gun ray was a separatist leader so he's classed as "Dark Side". If for example Padme was released she would be light side because she was with the republic

Because they were fighting against the republic+jedi, invaded planets, manipulated the banking clan, build the clones- money, built griveous, served sidious and acted shady allover. Made the plans for death star in the geonosian base, supported darth maul, killed Gungans by the thousand with droids, conquered planets, lied to chancellor about jedi arival and are traitors all around.
You can retreat from a treaty, but loose priviledges as well, the separatist were trying to conquer the republic, had an army and made the death star plans, generally they are the worst, only thing missing would be "thought police" and surveillance in the galaxy....
Actually the Republic and the CIS made the death star.- Because it sounds better than the "antagonist" tag.... Just like light side sounds better than the "protagonist" tag...

True, but in AOTC, the seperatist leaders on geonosis clearly have early plans for the death star- Because light side is resistance, republic, rebels. Separatist doesn't start with "r" so it's dark side.
