Why the negative backlash for new shard farming update

Aside from the increased prices in shard shop I don't see why there's been so much hate for this update. I mean double drops for any toon that has been in the game for at least a year is great especia...

Since that was a net neutral change with double shards in drops and stores, anyone hating on that doesn't understand what changed.

The bronzium drop is a nerf though.
