There are ways to change the resolution of Android-x86 without reinstalling. The sound fix shouldn't need a reinstall either. I'll try and dig up the resolution change info later tonight. At work right now. :)
I agree that it's pretty laggy, but I haven't tried running it on "good" hardware yet. Just a crappy old Lenovo T410. I think my lack of video RAM is what's causing my slowdowns.
I haven't experimented w/ 32-bit vs 64-bit. I installed and am running on the 64-bit version.
I have yet to find a reasonable way to emulate IOS, only simulators. Which seem to be HORRIBLY slow.
