So what happened to the LS Zorii bonus drop event that was supposed to be from the 24th - 28th?

It is a punishment if you hoarded energy for the event as well as lost potential shard shop currency.
Regardless of the drop rate, excluding a large chunk of people from the event isn't a good move that we should expect as consumers.
