7* Thrawn with G8 Phoenix (without Sabine)

I posted this on Reddi, but I figured some people might want to see it here as well. I'll start this by saying that this isn't for the faint of heart, it took me dozens of attempts (over 2-3 hours) and I would probably have one or two of them at G9 if I wasn't such a scrooge with gear. Regardless, it worked out fine in the end! Here's a summary of each of the character which I used. The links on each character's name are for their mod sets.

  • Hera Syndulla (http://imgur.com/AuxgNSb)- Leader Omega'd. I tried her with a Crit Damage set first, but more speed made her much more effective. I opened with Backup Plan to Kanan who then taunted (and didn't die even after being Fractured, to my family's surprise). Then called Zeb to assist on whomever was the most threatening at that point in game.
  • Kanan Jarrus (http://imgur.com/laZ9zFu)- Unique Omega'd. He became a lot more effective when I gave him Health set instead of speed and slowed him down considerably.
  • Chopper (http://imgur.com/sBbwHji) - Unique Omega'd. Speed was very useful for him, he also needs Potency for TM removal which is very helpful for slowing the Death Troopers down a bit. Dispel and Taunt were very effective for increasing the survivability of the team considerably.
  • Garazeb "Zeb" Orreleus (http://imgur.com/p8SQJX8) - His Basic can stun and Special can dispel the Death Troopers. I basically called him on Ezra's and Hera's assists for controlling DT/Thrawn.
  • Ezra Bridger (http://imgur.com/y6lNqFW) - Main DPS, Crit Damage set and Zeb's Assist were very helpful. His first Special also has a 1 turn cooldown if you hit it on somebody without buffs and hits very hard, that helped increase the DPS considerably.

My basic kill order was Death Troopers, Taunter, Healers, and then Thrawn in the end. Zeb is very helpful for stunning and staggering. But, as is the usual case, MVP goes to RNG.

Btw, in case anyone is wondering, I basically went all in on them the day it was announced that they'll be a requirement for Thrawn. I had currency banked so I could farm Chopper, Zeb, and Kanan at 20 shards/day. I had to use 3-4 refreshes to farm Hera and Ezra in time which required me to spend some more crystals than what I got from Arena but it worked out (plus I took some help from Fleet Shipments for Ezra).

@thryshe @Arloth I updated my post to make the links to my mods easier to identify, but I'll give a general breakdown here as well.

    • Hera Syndulla - 218 speed, 45.57% potency. I found her more useful when I bumped her speed rather than damage.
    • Kanan Jarrus - 159 speed, protection primaries on triangle, cross, circle, protection secondaries/health sets wherever I could. He was nearly 210 during my earlier attempts but he had a lot less survivability, turns out making him more survivable but slower was the better choice.
    • Chopper - 247 speed, protection on triangle and circle, potency on cross. Had him at ~44% potency which was useful since he can reduce TM. I had a arrow with decent protection secondary which helped too.
    • Zeb - 203 speed, loaded him with protection and potency (about 44%) so that he could Stagger, Daze and Stun reliably.
    • Ezra Bridger - 217 speed, 216% crit damage, tried to give him survivability wherever I could.

Is it possible to do it with 170ish speed?

Great post! I have ezra G10 and chopper g9, other 3 are g8. So should be affordable task even without top arena mods?

When I did this, I had a G8 squad except for G9 Ezra. Even with my best mods, it took dozens of tries (using Sabine, not Chopper):
