Arena Squad Help

https://swgoh.gg/u/triminac/I am currently level 59 just started about a month ago. Currently in Arena I am using dooku lead, Vader, Boba Fett, tarkin and luminara or RG. I know there are no particular synergies that make this arena squad good so I wanted advice on a squad I could work towards. First of all I'm currently a F2P and I dislike Phoenix squadron, don't want to use them at all my arena shard is filled with it. I want to figure out if I can make a good squad from characters I like though I know I can't get everything I want so any constructive feedback would be appreciated. I generally farm characters I like which are basically Sith and Empire / Dark Side characters but I realize this is limited. Especially because I am not at the level to begin getting the triumvrate. Basically I just want advice on a team with Boba. I'm currently working on farming masked Kylo in cantina, maul in guild store and the rest undecided. Farming boba as much as I can. Any recommendations on what I should farm? I'm not super adverse to farming Phoenix squadron because I know they are necessary to getting Thrawn, which I like, but farming them isn't a priority. I was thinking of a crit synergy team with boba lead, Ig-88, Leia, Lando, and STHan. Would this be a viable arena squad?I am open to suggestions because I'm in a sort of limbo right now, saving money and resources and gear so when I decide on a squad I can upgrade the characters instantly. Teams I see most often are Phoenix squadron and nightsisters. Not having much problems with nightsisters because of boba ability block and execute but phoenix is annoying.

You don’t have to use Phoenix in arena, but you will find them to be useful in other areas such as TB, TW, they’re required to unlock Thrawn (one of the best toons in the game), they’ll help you get Palpatine, and they’re great in GW. All I’m saying is that I’d encourage you to farm them sooner rather than later.
As for arena, put in Enfys Nest. Her AOE daze will help control the Phoenix teams in your arena. You should run a tank (KRU is good), a healer, and an attacker, last spot is up to you.
And most players who start off with Phoenix will unlock their Vader, Palpatine, and Thrawn in not too long then switch to them. So expect Phoenix to leave your arena soon. I don’t know if the crit synergy team you mentioned will be able to beat Empire.

Yeah Phoenix will be good in many aspects of the game, but before that I was running an awful team... Lando mace boba Rey and og kylo... Phoenix have me problems in gw, and eventually switched to using r1 to Outlast them. Empire really does wreck them though

Vader, Boba Fett and Tarkin are very good characters to farm, wether you use them on your arena team or not. They all command/pilot great ships, that are strong in fleet arena (unlocks at level 60). Furthermore, Boba is a scoundrel and one of the two—three MVPs for credit heist.

You will want to build a full team of 5 empire characters at some point to unlock R2D2 (and later Commander Luke Skywalker). RG is not the superman it used to be back in '16, but it will still make an OK addition to your empire team Furthermore, farming RG's hard nodes every day will not conflict with your other farming.

Empire work great in squad arena, especially after you add Emperor Palpatine, Thrawn and Tie Fighter Pilot (replaced by Sion/Nihilus at later stages). However, as someone already adviced, you should farm your Phoenix to unlock Palpatine and Thrawn, while still developing your arena team and pilots.

Other farm—worthy(tm) pilots, that won't conflict with farming Phoenix are:

Jedi Consular
First Order Tie Pilot
Biggs (a must—have pilot)

If you are lucky to end up in a young fleet arena shard, you may be able to keep a high rank for extra crystal rewards.
