Best/Worst Phoenix members?

I'd say Ezra is the best one but I couldn't identify the worst:

Ezra: wonderful attacker, he's both a rebel and a Jedi, so he will be very versatile for other teams too. Definitely a must-have in the game in general.

Hera: she's the leader, you must have her in a Phoenix team. Otherwise, you will only have a weak rebel team. She's also useful to revive toons, to heal and to have other toons deal their damage or inflict their debuff

Kanan: he's the main tank. He has a wonderful unique and dispels debuffs. Another must have.

Zeb: he's a multi-tool. He cuts tm, stuns and protects others. He even "heals" others with his unique. He's useful and very easily farmable, I'd use him.

Chopper: he's a little, fast nice tank. He's fast and he has a chance to assist other toons' attacks. He also gives buffs when he attacks and heals with his unique. He can tank and he has improved dodge while he tanks. He can also cut enemy buffs and tm with them. Overall a nice toon, I would use him.

Sabine: she's strong and a nice attacker, but she's veeeery long and painful to farm. I wouldn't say you will leave her out in favor of the others, I'd say you will leave her out because you will have her at 5 stars while the others are at 7. Anyway, I'd use her instead of Zeb or Chopper. Maybe in the arena or in raids, because you will totally need zeb in Phoenix-based events.

Nobody has really mentioned this, but I kind of feel like Zeb is the odd man out here. Chopper is awesome, and zebs stuns are too unreliable. The team really doesn't need a 3rd tank who doesn't taunt.

GW and raid damage don't matter to a discussion about which toons are better? Yeah. Ok. How said toons are utilized has absolutely nothing to do with how good they are.

Excellent post, Drazhar. Keep in mind that one of Ezra's best features is his Flourish, which removes taunts and other buffs quite effectively.

Two most important Phoenix members are Hera (leader ability shares all Phoenix uniques except some of Chopper) then Kanan (unique brings counter attacks, which makes AOE on Phoenix a very risky move). One could argue Zeb (for his daze then stun) next but him, Sabine (armor shred and demolish are awesome) and Ezra are all great in their own way.

At the end of the day, if it is Phoenix, it is important to have. Period. Everyone can mix and match to their liking, obviously. I just don't ever understand the Sabine hate on the forums.

Wow this thread has been very back and forth lol! As a mostly f2p player starting ovet I've decided to start with chopper. If obtaining both were equal I would most likely take Sabine, but using the cantina coins for chopper doesn't slow down my farm for the rest. Thank you all for this info!

I suggest you go back and read my posts again, although I'm not sure how I can be any clearer than "farm both, use chopper now and whichever you prefer down the road." GW and raid damage have nothing to do with it.

Also if you're using Phoenix in raids now, you shouldn't be in the future. There's a million stronger teams that can put up way more than 1m.

But again, it's irrelevant because the farming mechanism is the driver. You can completely ignore Chopper if you like, but you'll be sitting with four Phoenix at 5*, unable to unlock Thrawn because you only have Sabine at 3* and Chopper is just sitting there at zero shards.

Dude, you are the one who pulled a quote from my post and said it didn't matter for the discussion, which it absolutely does for a lower level player trying to get a leg up. I didn't reference your posts at all; just gave my opinion on Phoenix which is what I thought this thread was about. You can be as clear as you want in YOUR posts, I don't really care. I don't remember telling you that anything you said was irrelevant. Well, other than your opinion on my post.

They're all good on the team. Hera is the only one you just can't leave out. Sabine is probably the safest one to drop unless you need DPS more than health recovery. And since Sabine is the hardest farm, just leave her for last/later.

In terms of who is good outside a Phoenix team, Ezra, Chopper, and Sabine all work great on Rebel teams or in Chopper's case with other droids. As mentioned earlier, RJT, R2, BB8, Chopper and (GK/Thrawn/ScavRey/K2) make a grrreat team that fires off ID super quick (esp with K2).

I've been hitting my usual top ranks with it, and now that the shard is past probing it because it's new and unusual, it's maintaining very well until the next climb.

So, yeah: Chopper > Sabine. I use Chopper to the top of the arena ladder. I use Chopper in LS TB with and without Phoenix Squad. Sabine may replace him in TW defense squads, and she goes to platoons. I'm not saying she's bad, but I haven't had a call to gear her, because I don't have a pressing need for more developed rebel attackers on my roster.
