does the attacker have the Strategic Advantage buff granted by raven lead that doesn't allow the attack to be countered?

No. I know that. Im just making sure its my imagination and that no one else has had the issue

if Jolee sends an assist, that attack can't be countered.

the assisting toon on the Strategic Advantage transfer will not be countered either.

between these and the S.A. buff there are a few reasons that you will not see a counter.

other than that i have never seen an attack that should be countered not be countered.

How does retribution work? Is it 100% counter? Or less? Because it doesnt always fire (I see most against sion in P2) even when Z is not dazed.

Retribution gives 100% Counter Chance so it means the toon will always counter as long as its not an assist or an attack with Strategic Advantage buff.

OP is vague about the counter attack buff, because Bastila's Battle Meditation also grants counter attack to allies. However, Battle Meditation gives 70% counter attack chance to Jedi allies, and 35% to non-Jedi allies.

I haven't had mirror matches where toons wouldn't counter unless attacked by someone with S.A.

Toons with BM wouldn't counter always but more than half the time, which is in line with 70%

I've seen this many, many times in Revan vs. Revan matches but I can't get it to reproduce 100%. It seems to be a random influence, such as the Retribution buff not giving 100% counter chance, but something like 50%.

And yes, I am paying attention to the Strategic Advantage buff and I know it prevents counter attacks.

Because I don't record my games, I haven't sent a video in to CG, but someone did make a bug report about this in the bug report forum and I gave it the thumbs up that I have that issue as well. I suggest everyone else do the same.

Just tonight, for instance, I saw this example:

Enemy GMY did not have Strategic Advantage. All 5 of my jedi had Retribution up. Enemy GMY does his AOE attack. 2 out of the 5 of my jedi counter attack him, the other 3 do not. Explain this.

Three of your Jedi had foresight and evaded the attack. No damage = no counter.

Yes but Z doesnt counter all of the time with Retribution. Easy to see in P2 of Sith raid. No uncounterable attacks there. I just always assumed it was less than 100% chance.

First, you have to be damaged by enemy attack, so without foresight.
Second, you can't counter assists when toons sends another toon to hit you instead of himself.
Last, strategic advantage like people already mensioned

Ive never seen Z not counter a regular attack from Sion or the adds. The only time he doesn’t counter for me is on a Sion counter. Sometimes it can be tough to parse which are counters and which are normal attacks.
