DN Annihilate on third turn in arena?

Man, searching forums for the keywords in my title question was exhausting and all unrelated to arena, only raid. I posted the 30 sec clip on YT above.
Is it possible or am I missing something, I have a nightmare team and can't face Traya teams in my shard because if my DN misses Drain Force, their DN annihilates on third turn all the time.
Sequence, First turn enemy DN - Annihilate Cooldown is 8, Drain Force minus 5, so it's 3 on his next turn
Second turn - Annihilate Cooldown goes to 2, just like mine does when I drain everyone, DN does basic
Before his third turn, Traya does Isolate and gives Prot Up tp DN and reduces his cooldowns by one, so it should read as 1 on his third turn
DN third turn, annihilate cooldown goes down to 1, but he annihilates anyway. Is this math correct? It's like DN had an extra turn when Traya did Isolate but this shouldn't happen the way I read the descriptions.
I have so many of these vids on my phone, it's so painful to move all the vids from the dumb video app (free) i used to capture these, if my DN drain force hits their DN, I"m 50/50 beating Traya, this bug (is it?) has stymied me since Traya rolled around.
