I'd recommend starting fresh because you will be stuck at around top 1,000+ in arena for a while which messes up your crystal budget.

If you do start fresh build up a decent phoenix team first while working on the above teams.

Why start over? Is my team "that" worthless as it is? Im 630 in arena

Go into the arena screen (not the top 100) and screenshot the 3 opponent screen you will face.

Yeah I'd re commend starting over.

I mean your shard is way stronger than you.

Because these guys got Zetas + G11/G12 chars while u have g8/g9 chars under starred, leveled and under synergized.

It would be better to start over so you can make more Crystal's from arena

Only start over if you intend to take this game pretty seriously, as the majority of new accounts are created by existing players who know exactly what to do from the start. Ironically this means new servers are some of the most competitive and difficult to climb in.

Additionally, this game isn’t going to be around forever - probably not as long as it would take to max every character without spending. If you aren’t super competitive and just play for fun and to collect characters, I’d say save yourself the pain of the starting over. Early progression is seriously snail-paced and, well.. boring.

And it's totally your opinion that this game won't be around long enough for OP to benefit from a restart.

Also, where did you get the data showing that the majority of new players are actually existing players with new accounts?

I hate to break it to you, but these types of games are engineered to make that exact thing impossible. If you want to max everything, you have to spend. A lot.

No matter how good of an F2P'er you are, you'll always be behind the curve and you'll never be done playing catch up.

@CCyrilS Alright, majority was incorrect wording, but if you look at the top 300 or so slots in any new arena shard they will be hardcore focus-farmed, likely for the standard Phoenix->Thrawn/Palp->R2.
