It does work. It's how I beat that node.
G10+ Ackbar for the protection regeneration for counter attacking.
G11+ Vader for damage output from his ship.
G8(+5) Maul did it for me but G9 would make his ship last longer. I only had it 6* at the time.
3rd ship doesn't matter just make sure that its (Health + Protection) is less than Scimitar's.
The TIEs will attack the weakest ship every time.
If Scimitar gets ability blocked, start over.
Ideally Tarkin decides to open with his Turbo Lasers and not Ion Cannon. That makes it far easier.
Scimitar gets its turn and grants retribution to Vader.
