One of the best damage dealers in the game went piece of crap overnight.He just does not do any sensible damage now and he's (at least used to be) a part of both JML and JMK teams.And I'm not talking about damage to GLs, mind you. I'm talking about hitting normal toons.Recorded a video a couple of days ago to help one of my guild mates in the squad arena, GAS was hitting like 180k damage on a crit with the JKL's buff followed by 100k normal damage on the extra attack.Today under the same conditions he hits like 20k on a critical hit.Relic 8 offence-modded GAS doing a mere 20k damage to a regular character...It's not funny, I literally choked when seeing this during my arena climb.I wonder what's it gonna be like in the next TW and LS GeoTB.. Are we gonna laugh or cry?

It is because you need to use him right. First you need to leave him be. Then you need to get Lord Vader, which will be a must to get it along the new Maul and after that Lord Vader will hit for 200k followed by non-crit defense ignore hit from Maul of 150k dmg. After all Lord Vader, Gas is same persona right? Don't forget to buy a few packs of gear though and get them to R9.

Don’t need new content just roll things back and buys you lots of time

He just can be only used as 501st leader now. Pretty sure that was on purpose to make sure JML and JMK won't be the only require GL for climbing. He sucks now as side character - he's relly good as a 501st leader

Just so they can roll all that back in a year when they realize they can’t go further again on the direction they are travelling.

But they are not. Not JML at least, cause SEE is a hard counter except some very specifically modded JML teams.
And GAS was the main damage dealer in every JML team, which are now almost toothless.
I don't really see an adequate replacement for him in these teams.
Honestly, I was expecting something like 2x damage reduction but definitely not 10x!

This is outrageous, it's unfair!

I don't think it was specific modded teams - you just needed GAS to force brute your way.

GAS was main damage dealer in both JML and JMK team (especially without CAT which apparently now can't beat JML).

I'm guessing the JML is supposed to be used as a leader and his leadership/ultimate require some buff to compensate changes to GAS. I think even GMY is better under JML lead.

Obviously CG won't buff JML because he's 2nd most popular GL.

It was hard to predict how much less damage he will do because of lack of knowledge on Defense stat. If you read OP he's not shocked that he deals less damage but he's shocked that he deals 10x less damage

Is it WAI? I absolutely don’t see defense penetration coming from mastery neither in stats or damage, therefore 65% bonus to nothing is still nothing

You can see armor penetration here and on the relic screen (+120 at R7 iirc). The defense penetration stat shows as zero for every character.
