GAS Arena Useless?

^ Padme is the team I am building up. And in 3's today my G9 G9 G10 zzPadKenoTano trio wiped the floor with a g12 fully zeta'd Ky Ky Fox team. Says a lot when a weakly modded g9 team can do that.

The question in the title of this thread is, if GAS is useless in arena. Not if he is worth gearing or not.

The correct summary imo is: He is useful in arena, as he can beat all or almost all squads.

What gives me pause is that the Padme team can take #1 everyday against every team including GAS with little trouble. The Padme team also feeds Negotiator arena. In addition, the 501st already has a solid lead with Shaaq.

Given the 7* cost, heavy kyro and zeta for GAS, I won't be able to 7* the next meta character quickly. So should I horde for the next meta or go all in on GAS even though I already have a meta dominant Padme arena team and a complete 501st team? I question GAS's value in the current arena meta and he doesn't bring as much to TW, GAC, etc since I already have a functional 501st team.

I guess I will sit on the GET until I start seeing more GAS in my arena.

A little side question: how much time until next meta (Res/FO)? 3 months? 4 months? 6 months?
Any thoughts?
