IG-86 is terrible. So terrible, in fact, I refuse to promote him. GA benefits aside (but not ignored), there's an argument to be made that you should simply collect his shards, without promoting him, until the game no longer exists. Because he's terrible. As such, I am currently at 5 stars on him (before I knew what I was doing), but now at over 600/85.Convince me I'm wrong.

No he’s not! 86 is then linchpin to my tricky HK lead droid team where everyone assumes they suck, then they die. Sometimes.

He was..... OK back in the day to fill out a droid team. I still use him on my reserve Droid team sometimes.

Like most toons, even old ones modded properly and placed on the right team have their uses. He can do good enough work. Glad he still has uses. He was one of my first attackers and always had a soft spot for him.

I have a droid team ready to go and he is on it. I just need to gear them. Only 546543 other characters of mine need Mark V Stun Guns first.

He gets a hidden stat buff that only unlocks if you get 1000 shards before promoting him. There are videos on twitter of him beating a Darth Revan team solo.
