Is Echo essential to a clone team?

Anyone?

It depends on what you're trying to do... there are better options than echo; he doesn't hit hard enough to be effective. So I guess I would say no....not needed.

I run a max geared almost max abilities clone squad with Phasma.

I wouldn't say Echo is essential but he is a very nice add on, he gets an enormous amount of assists because of the 3 other clones and his damage is not that bad around 4k-ish on a non-assist. What I really like about him is his AoE dispel. Usually I can trigger a QGJ humbling blow quick and also get a toon to yellow in the mean time which means I can get rid of all offense up and the taunt at the same time. And the dispel is also quite reliable have not seen it fail very often.

Well that's mainly Fives and Phasma. The other three all hover around 25k H&P, gear 10 certainly helps them stay upright for longer. Managed to clear half of my past 2 GWs using them alone then swapping in some adjustments for the nodes against top 10 arena teams

Echo's unique healing them every turn sure helps too ;)

Wow, sure looks nice...all those attacks. Could you replace Sarge with a meta dps like Rey or Leia? Or maybe RG to make life even more miserable for rivals on defense?

I run Rex (L), 5's, CS, Echo, RG. Echo''s damage is poor but when he assists the others so often, his damage per turn is comparable to, if not higher than, CS. Plus, Echo adds 4.5% more critical chance to CS. The heals on basic are nice, about 1k avg. But, where he really shines is his utility. Did QGJ just give off. up to his entire team ? GONE. Pesky ST Han taunt u with Old Ben making u hit for triple digits ? GONE. His utility is too good.

Since my Rey and Leia are only g9 I haven't tried them, but I really like CS, he crits fairly often with his basic and that gives him 50% TM. That means he goes more often than a Rey or Leia and his AoE TM reduction procs reasonably reliable. In summary I don't think I would replace him permanently but once I get an mk6 nubian DT I could try Rey and let you know.

Absolutely agree on Echo's utility! I omega'd his AoE yesterday to have the CD a bit shorter for GW and tomorrow I'll get his unique to level 8 so I get double the heals ;)
