Is there a gear imbalance/crunch, similar to the previous credit crunch?

We all need cuffs, guns, carbantis by thousand. Is it too much?
  • There have been a lot of discussion, it is not that we need gear or that we should get rid of gear grind, the point is there are too many bottleneck in gear, too many useless gear and the lack of sense of progression in gear farming: you basically farm the same node for months, and you never see the end.

Nobody complained about ability mats, because they made it well: each challenge gave an additional tier and increased the quantity of the previous reward. We asked for the same logic for gear.

Totally concur. I thought a nice way to change this would tone have new toons need more of that gear that we have 1000s of. Even if it's not an op toon- get some other toons in gw and cantina and make them stacked with all that gear we have just laying around. OR be able to create salvage gear through them. But I would be so afraid to look at the exchange right between them.

The mat progression and gear are very similar, gear is just a longer progression.

Up to lvl 7-8 is similar to mats up to purple. Omegas are racnor raid lvl gear and zetas are tank raid.

It's ment to be difficult to gear toons to a high lvl. If you don't want to pay you have to make choices.

Actually, @CG_Kozispoon has been awesome as of late and super helpful answering a lot of players questions.

Wow, let's misrepresent the information you have just a little more....

    How would you interpret it?

I agree about high level, but I still find difficult to gear a toon at low level (G9 is now considered as low level). I don't mind spending more time on G11, but many high level players just find it ridiculous to spend more time on gear 8 and 9 than gear 10.
  • Actually. I like getting over the hump of 7-9 tbh. It's the hardest part and enjoy once it's done because I find it's easier to gear after that.
  • Maybe it is easier because we are not on a deadline for the last gear level.
