In terms of mods and team building, I haven't seen this discussed much, but it's a "thing" on my February shard.I was fortunate enough to have the first Wiggs team on my shard, I built the team with the fastest STH I could (he was my fastest toon at the time). I held rank for a long time.A competitor of mine, who was close in terms of speed, found that he could outpace my STH by putting his fastest mods on Biggs, so I ended up in a situation where my Wedge was taken out instantly, leaving my STH to boost only 4 remaining toons.So I responded in kind, putting Biggs up to 205 speed (265 with Wedge and Lando bonuses). My competitor scored some new mods and went to 206. This morning I got a lucky drop and went to 209, I now go before some JEs on my shard.Despite my current status of having the fastest Biggs, I'm not enjoying this. It feels cheap. I've checked the team compositions on some of the older shards, and they seem to opt for a Wedge lead with a fast STH or Poe, rather than just putting everything into Biggs for a guaranteed first round knockout.I'm unclear as to why this isn't a "thing", i.e. more widespread? It seems to work. Even against a Rex lead, you can take out Rex before their team moves, pretty much every time. You can take out EP every time. It's like having Raid Han but instead of a stun you get a kill.Is anyone else seeing this on their shards? If not, why do you think that is?

It is definitely a thing on my server (December) and all my guildies use it (we're mostly on the same server). It does indeed feel cheap because we're back to square 1 with the speed meta, which is why protection was originally introduced.

I personally don't see a major issue, it encourages real strategy on the shard. I run Biggs at 209. There are a number of teams that knock me off #1 post payout. People have adapted with teams that can take my team down even when they are one toon down. If I don't manage to 1 shot the toon, it happens with RNG, then the fight is even harder. Some of their strategies center on 'who's first', multiple priority targets chain linked with Ani as payback, multi-tank with stuns / debuffs (RG/B2/Sun Fac), or the more obvious Rex lead. Other Wiggs users adapt as well, e.g. Han -1 speed to Lando so you get an Ackbar effect, and their Lando overtakes mine...

Except, you know, were talking about TWO character slots and not one.

right about what? i still dont think wiggs should be nerfed and i'm still not a fan of the "who got the most speed" race.

Just to be clear, I have not and am not asking for a Wiggs nerf. I'm asking for a protection buff.

Wiggs isn't the only problem, Lando can pretty much wipe out a team in 2 turns. I think it would be more interesting if matches were longer, there's a 5 minute timer and most matches don't go beyond 1 minute.

Power creep has outpaced health and protection, this will happen every few months. Health and protection need to be rebalanced to compensate and keep matches interesting.

I don't find a 20 second match interesting, not at all.

I ran into this yesterday. My lead at well over 220 still has no shot against that speed boost and damage output. The only meta at this point is simply fast Biggs Wedge Lando STH JKA. It's a virtual auto win lineup at this point.

I run the fastest Wiggs combo on a March shard. Even I admit it's cheesy. I can roast teams under a minute, sometimes 2 with the SF / STH combo (I don't auto anything). I don't think I've ever dropped out of the top 15 overnight and I can get to #1 if everything goes according to plan unless the AI decides to give some lucky dodges. There are suitable counters to Wiggs, HOWEVER, I agree with one point: We're back to square 1 with a speed meta. Get a decent set of Crit Chance / Crit Damage with speed secondaries and it's pretty much OHKO + AOE decimation. Put in a potency buffed Rad Han and your opponent barely moves unless it's a counter.

Don't need him to show up on my shard, need him to show up in my roster.

If you place first in the tourney, you get a 7* Shore trooper. Second place gets you a 6*. 3-4 might get you a 5*.

So unless you place 1st in the tourney, you won't be seeing anyone running Shoretrooper seriously.
