I use my Arena team in GW and rarely have any issues, I haven't failed a GW in over 2 weeks.
Lineup:

Sid(L) - 6* GL7 maxed
Dooku - 4* GL7 maxed
Lumi - 7* GL7 almost max
JC - 5* GL8 almost max
Luke - 4* GL7 maxed
Total power 19,893

I've come across a few tough teams but most of them I steamroll, especially ones with tanks or heals.
Your team, for example, is one that I *LOVE* to see in an opponent, the only toon I worry about is Lumi, and she'd be dead, stunned, or blocked before she can do anything.

I feel you.. Today I had to turn off "Auto" in the second to the last fight. :o

I haven't lost any GB since the update and I'm a f2player gotta say i have faced hard teams but the trick is not to give up and always have hope that you will succeed no matter how dire the situation may be! @Mephisto_style

I was in your position a few days ago. It felt like a brick wall and I sighed in despair with hours of attempts to clear GW. Since that time I read all I could about characters, best synergy, forum, reddit, guides, and websites. Geared up, made adjustments and now I'm cruising like cruise control in a car B)

I have yet to experience that and I intentionally wipe regularly with lower leveled toons to burn the oppositions' specials. Then come in with my A, B, or C team to finish the job. @ level 64, I'm reliably facing level 64 and 65 7* toons all geared VII or VIII. At this time GW is more like a complex rock/paper/scissors match than of old. You're facing Condi/Counter(C-C) teams, Slow/Shutdown(S-S) teams, or Heavy Heal(H-H) teams. H-H beats CC, C-C beats S-S and S-S beats (you guessed it) H-H teams. Interspersed, if you're lucky, are the occasional mixed teams with little if any synergy.

My core team consists of Lumi, Sid and (I'm going to get pissed on for saying this) Chew-freakin-bacca. Losing any of those three before the last three matches is an unacceptable win and forces a retreat from me.

Lumi is usually in the lead of any team. her evasion and heal over time is worth it.

I add JC and Barris as my H-H roundup (sometimes Daka but teams tend to focus her in mid-later matches). For this team only I may drop Chewie out of the lineup for Vader or Boba ( or some other tanky damage dealer). I usually leave him in to soak up damage and conditions. Folks will berate this as a slow and weak team. They're quite right. But this isn't arenas. I can reliably finish most of the board with this or similar and have my characters near full health going into the last 4-5 matches.

Tossing Phasma in the lead with Daka as an alt = a decent S-S hybrid. I am not sparing with Daka's heal though; I don't often save it for a revive. I use it early, and Lumi too, so the cooldowns are ready to use again early next match, or to clean up the mess toward the end.

I'll use Dooku and Vader (since I don't have Kylo) in as a C-C. If Dooku is unavailable, I use Iggy. This is my weakest team at this time, and I often drop 1 or 2 suicide squads at need ahead of it to give them an early lead.

I barely sqeaked by on both of my accounts today. On my L53 alt I got L59 second to last match. Threw all my pawns at it just to get them to use up abilities, then rerolled probably 20 times before RNG went in my favor.
My main account at L63, faced L69 in 2nd to last ... I have never seen so much damage dumped on my team. I have 4 healers, Elder, Lumi, JC, and Daka, and I sent Elder and JC with a suicide squad, and managed to kill their Ren while loosing both healers. Then a few dozen RNG rolls to get past that team.

Though I cleared it every day except for 1 for past few weeks, I truly despise this version of GW.

It's not supposed to be easy. In fact, at lower levels after unlocking, I think it's deliberally intended to be unwinnable, thereby giving a sense of accomplishment when you finally make it.

Also, I've noticed high-level teams are often populated with weak players, which balances out the difficulty. Are the squad members level 62 and 6* purple, or are they low star and low gear? Out of curiosity, what's your squad's power?

My GW is now getting very easy because I concentrated on making my entire team viable for a GW match.

I have 12 characters now lvl 60+ 5-7* elite

18 more characters lvl 45-60 all 1 gear slot away from elite, mostly 2-4 stars.

My droid team in arena is at 90% so after I get 7 GW battles done on autopilot, i just start sending in my misfits to weaken the crazy hard battles.

I've finally crossed the threshold I think.... Of GW being a pain.
