Question about starter guilds

So I played a while ago and stopped because I was lost. I've begun playing again and really feel like i'm starting to get it. I made my own guild (pretty much out of ignorance lol) and have started with the starter guild system. I got placed in teir 3 Tuan-taun. I did this wanting to try and help with the raids and I felt like I was, was 1st in the rancor raid that was happening by a large margin.

Then I got my 600 tickets and got bumped up to the next tier of training guilds, Nest of Gundarks. I was banking on the rewards I got from that to help farming character shards from the guild store. There was not opt in, I just found myself in the next tier. I did get what the current guild donated in the mail which was nice and just wondered if the raid rewards might work the same way when the raid ends? Or since I technically left the guild I forfeited my participation?

I am also kind of unclear when a raid ends, do you have to beat all (4?) stages or is there a time limit?

Thanks for any advice and/or answers!

  • I'm trying to understand your question. If you were moved before the raid eneded you probably won't get the rewards. If the raid ended and they you were moved you would have gotten the rewards.
Raids have to modes normal which can consistent of different tiers and heroic. Normal has no time limit so guild can hit the raid for days before it falls. After the raid ends there is 55 minutes or so for people to finalize there run after that rewards get distributed.
In heroic you have two days to finish the raid if your guild fails to complete phase 4 in that time the raid ends you get no rewards and lose the coins you spent to open it.
  • Yes, I was moved to the next tier before the raid ended so I would assume I'm going to miss out on the rewards, kind of a bummer but it is what it is i guess.

Thank you on the other information on the raids.
  • Just find a guild that accepts newer players they will teach you what you need to know and you don't have to worry about getting tossed around starter guilds and losing raid progress
  • Yeah, that's one of many ways the starter guilds are broken.

You'll miss out on a lot of rewards as it forces you to advance.
  • Starter guilds IMO are here to show you the ropes, but once you’ve learned them you need to advance yourself. A guild with similar GP and detail to the game would best suit you. If you are casual or serious there are guilds looking for players all the time.
Go to th guild recruitment section on the forums. I did it and joined a really fun casual guild. There are many out there.

    Game on!
  • I'm not an expert...but I'm guessing, for new players, find a guild with much stronger players that are willing to carry you for a while.

You'll be amazed how quickly you progress due to their generosity and nurturing.
