Simple Solution to Event Farming
Just put the event characters in the shard shop. So for Thrawn, put phoenix in the shard shop for a week. For R2, put a selection of Empire characters in the shard shop. etc...

Thrawn was easier to get than R2. Cmon who other than empire fanboys has a full empire team.

The devs have stated that the reworks will not be significantly effecting the difficulty of the event and players with 2 accounts have confirmed this. None of them are going to have their zeta abilities etc.
That squad should be fine though.
