The team I used to beat tier 5 was:
Hera (L) 70/ VII/ Level 5 abilities with level 6 leader
Kana 70/ VII/ Level 5 abilities
Zeb 70/VII/ level 5
Chopper 70/VII/ level 5
Ezra 70/VII/ level 5/6.
All of these toons were 5* and had no mods on. I think I only lost chopper in the last round because I taunted just to be safe.

The last battle is extremely tough. I didn't resort to moving arena mods over but I did have to up the ability levels of kanan and zeb to get me over the top (i originally had them at like level 4 or 3 for the most part to see if my Sabine/Hera/Ezra could carry them .. but no dice).
I ultimately ended up getting past it with:
Hera (L) 85/X/all abilities at 7 or max (no omega)
Sabine 85/XI/all abilities omega'd
Ezra 85/XI/all abilities at 7 or max (no omega)
Kanan 85/X/all abilities between 7-3
Zeb 85/VIII all abilities between 6-3
The battle that I won, Hera/Sabine/Ezra were all still alive and could have lasted a couple more turns. Prior to tweaking a few mods and upping Kanan and Zeb's abilities, I literally died at tier 7 stage 3 vs Thrawn instantly and didn't kill a single toon after like 15 tries (one try I think I killed one of the ST)
