I did build up Phoenix to try and get Thrawn but now part of me thinks, why? Apart from being super cool why work any further on an Empire Squad? They're not great in Arena and after R2, are there any more challenges they're needed for?
You don't need to run Thrawn in only an empire team. He can go in many teams due to his kit and doesn't even have to be lead. His fracture skill alone is worth the farm. Just be prepared to level your PHX Sqd to at least G8 which is a ton of useful gear you would otherwise use for other important heroes and make sure your mods are up to snuff. Dont be fooled tho, that Thrawn event is one of, if not the hardest event in the game.
