Wampa or gear?

I go with gear because my main source of crystals is fleet arena, and Wampa doesn't fly a ship.

I'm F2P as well but I've been playing since almost launch. I'd say wampa cause that other gear isn't that hard to farm from other places. You can even ask for it in guild exchange

I'll give a different view, if you're in a casual guild, I'm going to guess you're a casual player, in that case, you should farm whichever makes the game fun for you, if you really want to max wampa, go for it, or if you have favorite toons like Aasajj or Savage, then max them out...if your goal is to progress in the game beyond a casual player, you should strongly consider graduating into a more serious guild and grind, grind, grind. There’s only one way to get wampa shards. There are multiple ways to get gear.

There's also only one toon that can use wampa shards while every toon needs gear.

My Wampa is at 15/100 towards 7 stars and he is a lot of fun to use. And he can easily fit into a light side team, he works in any team as a big damage dealer counter attacker.

Chose to do Wampa because I thought his kit is awesome. Do what you find fun

As everyone else has said, the main point is just doing what you think will be most fun. If Wampa's kit seems fun to you, go for him. If you'd rather get a few gold characters to show off, that's fine too.

What I will add is that you want to have a good Empire/Dark-Side team already good to go before you get Wampa. He doesn't really get along with Light-Side characters, but he has a lot of good synergies with the evil guys. And you don't want to be stuck in a position where you're gearing Wampa and 4 other DS characters at the same time.

Thanks for the advice, my plan, since I am in a lower reward guild as far as tb goes, was to work on gearing my zader, soon to be zalp, squad until he reaches almost unlocked, then I'll switch to farming the requirements for his gear so I can take him to G11 straight away. After that, I'll be able to focus on the rest of them again, and thus I'll have managed my resources the best I can think is possible
