Who to Farm?!?!

To be honest, I don't think you will be able to unlock Commander Luke this time as a FTP. Without EP at 7* you will have a hard time getting R2-D2 7*. Aside from that, you didn't mention your other empire chacacters, which won't be easy to get if you have them under 6*/5*.

Getting Commander Luke in the coming event, as a FTP, will be impossible.

The same goes for me, I don't have Leia nor Old Ben and I'm afraid I won't be able to get them in time unless we get double drops/guaranteed drops.

I have Royal Guard, Tarkin and Snowtroop all at 4*, but i dont know whether to use them as an Empire team or farm a different empire team completely?

What do you need? In practical terms, a Squad Arena team that can secure decent rewards. Depending on whether your guild needs/requires it, at least one squad that can do well in raids (or ideally, excel in at least one part of raids where there's some slack that needs picking up). And some pilots who can beat the Fleet Challenge that awards Zeta materials.

If you have any resources left that you want to spend beyond what the aforementioned will consume, then dedicate it to alternate squads who strike a balance between "I like these characters" and "these characters are effective," or to the pursuit Legendary Event characters. While Yoda for example is a cool character in the movies, simply having him doesn't do a ton of good for a player who isn't serious about Jedi squads.

I would add to the previous post(which is great advice), that extra resources be spent gearing teams to help with galactic war. You receive a decent amount of credits for completing it.

I'm usually between 200-400 in my shard for squad arena, and same in the fleet arena although i have to admit i've barely put any effort into my fleet arena squad because i dont really enjoy the gameplay.

My guild are working toward heroic in both raids, but are closer to heroic pit that haat, i am working toward getting enough zetas to zeta vader for heroic pit raid so i suppose that's what i'm working toward mostly, i am farming Jyn whenever she comes into the guild store.

I complete GW more or less every day, i run a DN lead with EP, Vader Maul and Savage, all 7* G8, level 85, apart from DN is G11 and EP is 6*

If you're firmly decided already upon getting Legendary Event characters, then for the Emperor event I think you're more or less on the right track. Admiral Ackbar could be helpful to ward off the Shock debuff (and deliver a big heal to your squad if he dispels enough debuffs at once). But Biggs with Wedge, at least one taunting tank, and a third damager (Leia or Luke will be alright, either one of them) can be enough to just outpace the Emperor's damage. Fifth character can be yet another damager, a second tank, Ackbar, a Phoenix Squadron character... I don't think it makes a lot of difference as long as the core of your squad (Biggs, Wedge, Stormtrooper Han) is adequately geared & modded.

Personally I managed to beat the final tier of the Emperor event with a very mish-mash Rebel squad: Biggs, Ackbar, Leia, Scarif Rebel & K2SO all wearing gear level 8 and character levels around 65-70. So I wouldn't say the requirements are particularly steep or anything.

I reckon the R2-D2 event is significantly tougher. But if you gear up Emperor & Vader enough (as close to maximum as possible) and mod them fast enough, then one taunting tank (Royal Guard or Stormtrooper) and any two random damagers (whoever you find easiest/quickest to upgrade) at gear level 8 should easily suffice as support for EP & Vader.

Tarkin is in squad store so easy to farm,
Veers has 3 nodes,
EP- i just need to get Wedge to 7*
Vader is already 7*
Magmatrooper is in GW store so really easy to farm,

Will these toons be enough to get a 7* R2 do you think?

If not i could try to farm Royal guard aswell

Royal Guard would be a better choice than Veers IMO. RG's stun spam is really useful, and the enemy R2 is a very fast stun spammer himself so it's preferable to have him waste some of his turns stunning your tank instead of EP & Vader. If you allow R2 to run amok and keep stunning whomever he wants, it just makes the event... more random & difficult to say the least.
