App Constantly Freezing

Was hoping the new update would fix things, but already froze up when typing a chat message.

Same problem here too on Android 7.0 device. Game gets super slow if left idle, or if screen goes black when left like that. But even after a few fights, the game slows down, characters starts to lag, and the game comes to a halt eventually. In Conquest/Arena it's super angering, when you have a winning battle, with a 5 toon Sith team alive, and the enemy on ly having like 1 bounty hunter, and the match is a loss because it lags for 3 minutes straight, what supposed to be an easy win! CG, pls not just play the game on Android devices, but let it idle and even minimize it and bring it back up, and even let it there for 10-ish minute. I am sure the lag/freeze problem will present itself! Fix it, cuz it makes the game frankly not worth to play, if every 5th/10th match is getting laggy, and I have to close and reopen the game to fix it!!! Problem started for me like 2 weeks ago as well, and still have it, but before that it was all okay. Phone is a Homtom HT50 Android device! No emulator user here! Thank you if you look into this and manage to fix it what was not broken for years before!!!!

I think, I have found the problem's source. I use Google Play, and my phone updated that as well.

I was investigating SWgoH's lagging and freezing up for me as well, and when I turned off this app's one setting called "Automatic logging into supported games..." (Sorry, I have a Hungarian version, so it's something like that.) the freezes completely stopped!!! The lagging are less frequent as well, tho, still remaining, but not like after 5 minutes of play, but like 30 mins-1 hourly, which is much more tolerable.

If you use the same app, just turn that setting off, and hopefully your gaming experience will once again turn better! I sure hope, this was the cause of the problem, and that I managed to nail the source of the problem...for CG too! Seems like this software tries to log into games (as the setting/feature says it tries to help with), but multiple play store accounts causing problems with it, with trying to force both (or more) account into the game. Strangely, other games have no problems, so it's still a problem on both this app, as well as from CG's part too!!!

I got excited when I read this, however my "Google Play Games" app does not have any settings option for any kind of auto sign/log in option.  🙁

I have the exact same problem on my Android phone since that November update. Nothing but 100% constant freezing or crashes since the November update.

Yup I have the problem again. Very bothersome! CG/EA only posts the usual We are aware stuff, but this causes me lots of lost battles. Wat Tambor's last round had only Ki Adi Mundi alive while i had 4 geos Alpha Spy Fighter and Brute and the game froze...No wat shards on this account for me and the clan.  ☹️  T_T

Sadly, this freezing bug remains. But I've discovered something while the game was slowing down, and will open a new thread: With Malev fleet, the separatist's ship (any ship) lights up like they were summoned by Malev. ALL the ships (Like HT or Tie Fighter) goes ALL WHITE and then they get their colors slowly back like a summon unit does. Why is this happening when the ships aren't summoned??? Bug. Could be another source of the list of errors...

Tried clearing the cache... Made absolutely no difference.  The rest of the solutions offered are basically restart the app.  Not helpful.

Well maybe it is from your end EA like after the "get rid of toaster phones" update i have been having lots of issues. Maybe an optional update that will make the game lighter and actually playable fro potato phones like mine? I have tried everything you say but the issue is still persistent.
