There are 4 attacks from Bistan U-Wing vs the Bigg's X-wing on this video. All 4 attacks are on Bistan's turn, while stealthed. 2 of them had Def Penetration, and 2 did not.
Two hits without DefPen: 32,686 & 31,801
Two hits WITH DefPen: 42,235 & 43,236
There's definitely something going on. Either "ignore defense" isn't setting the Armor/Resistance to 0 (thus letting DefPen reduce it even further), or DefPen can reduce A/R levels to negative values, further increasing damage.

EA Staff (Retired)Thanks for the video, looking in the backend at how Bistan's U-wing basic works as compared to Defense Penetration Up, there might be an issue. I've submitted a ticket for review with the game team now.
So someone on YouTube found the problem and I wanted to relay it here. The mechanics page on swgoh.gg says Bistans attack adds 999900% armor penetration to his attack. The problem is he has 0 armor penetration, so that is still 0. Either the mechanism for ignoring armor needs changed or Bistan needs to be given a small amount of natural armor penetration.
Well, the mechanics say additive, so the fact that it's 0 shouldn't matter.
It looks like it's modifying "armor penetration percent" just like Sidious does (although Sidious is only 100%), whereas Defense Penetration Up modifies the flat values. But again, since it's additive, that should go on top of the 0.
But it’s still adding a percent. It doesn’t matter if it’s multiplying or adding when it’s value is 0. Defense penetration adds a flat number, so that’s why you see an increase. And it’s probbaly why you get full armor penetration even though I think many ships have more than 150 armor. Once you get any defense penetration at all the % bonus multiplies it to some extreme number.
