Change email on web store for SWGOH

I read it is not possible to change the email on the web store and only devs and support can. I contacted EA to update my email on my EA account in hopes it would allow me to access the web store again but it did not work. I was hoping if anybody could reach out to me and let me know what the next steps are at updating email on the web store for SWGOH. Just trying to collect my daily’s.

    Hi @6rsz0l8m9edm

    Thanks for checking back in! I missed your other post before so this helped! Let's see...based on what you've shared with me, it sounds like you might have two separate EA accounts. The error you're encountering usually occurs when the email update is not carried out on the EA account that's linked to your SWGOH account.


    For that scenario I'd recommend the following:

    1. Try to recall the older email that might be linked to your EA account / SWGOH account. This is the account you need to update. I've recommended steps to help with this here: A Second SWGOH /EA account 
    2. Once you've located the second account, log in and update the account information to reflect your email preference, etc.
      • If the email you want to use is already registered to a different EA account (like the one you mentioned updating), you'll need to free it up from that account before you can use it for the correct one. To do that, switch out the email registered on the other EA account, and it'll be free to pop in on the account connected to your SWGOH.Webstore. 

    If you need a hand updating the email our support team will do their best to help. Please keep in mind for account security reasons, our support team can't disclose any account information until you've passed the security checks on the respective accounts with them. It's a measure they have in place to protect the account holders' personal information. 

    Without being able to look into it myself, this is the best advice I can offer. Hopefully, you can reconnect with the support team for more assistance.

    Hi @6rsz0l8m9edm,

    It is possible to update the email on the webstore. You can update it through the EA account settings from the EA account you've linked to the store. 

    1. Go to your EA Account and Billing Settings.
    2. Click on the About Me tab.
    3. Click Edit next to Email Address to update the email that we have on file.
    4. Type in the code we send you to confirm your identity, then change away!

    If you are running into issues activating Login Verification, please contact our support team. They'll help you get setup with that.

  • Thanks for getting back to me EA_Lanna. I got the email updated yesterday prior before this post but get the error “An error occurred while attempting to validate your code. Please try again.” On the web store.This either means there truly is an error or the email I entered is not registered to a SWGOH account. I asked in game support if they could tell me what email I used and was met with “that is against policy” which is fine but I just want to know what I used so I can get this working as I have been at this since the beginning of March and we are going into May. I did manage to get my EA account back after verification but seems the web store either has not updated with new email yet due to it being updated by EA yesterday morning or a different email was used to collect these daily gifts. Thank you for your attention to this post and looking back for your reply or if you want I can utilize that like for support you posted.
